The highly anticipated Honda Activa EV continues to generate excitement as new teasers reveal additional features, including a TFT instrument console and ride modes. The electrified version of the popular Activa scooter is expected to launch in multiple variants, catering to a wide range of customer preferences.
Key Features and Technology
The teaser confirms the presence of both TFT and LCD instrument consoles, with the advanced TFT display reserved for the top-tier variant. The scooter will offer two ride modes—Standard and Sport—with the Sport mode likely prioritizing maximum performance. In Standard mode, the Activa EV will deliver a claimed range of 104 km per charge, while Sport mode is expected to slightly reduce the range.
The digital console will provide comprehensive information, including trip readings, time, total range, beam indicators, navigation, and even music controls. Lower-end variants may exclude the Sport mode, offering a more basic feature set.

Performance and Design
While detailed performance figures remain under wraps, the Activa EV is anticipated to deliver power and torque similar to 110-125 cc petrol scooters. The scooter will feature a single-piece seat, LED lighting, and a new design language that sets it apart from the ICE-powered Activa 6G. Notable differences include an apron-mounted headlamp for the EV, contrasting with the higher-mounted design of its petrol counterpart.
Earlier teasers also revealed a drum brake system and rear monoshock suspension, highlighting the scooter’s focus on practicality and comfort. The lineup will include base drum variants and premium disc versions, offering options for diverse customer needs.
Market Positioning and Competition
The Honda Activa EV is poised to take on established players in the electric scooter segment, such as the Ola S1 series, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, and Ather 450X. With its combination of range, performance, and features, it aims to be a strong contender in the growing zero-emission scooter market.

Honda is expected to officially unveil the Activa EV on November 27, 2024, at an event in Bengaluru, with bookings opening in February 2025. Deliveries are anticipated to commence shortly after. Stay tuned for comprehensive updates from the global unveiling event.
